o I would like to invite you to a Canvass for Carolina brainstorming session that will take place on Sunday April, 18, at the Brio Tuscan Grille beginning at 3:00 pm. I recommend that you arrive approximately ten minutes in advance to secure parking. If you have not mailed moderator contracts to the Campus Echo by this date, you may bring them to the meeting. If you cannot attend, you may send a representative from your organization in place of your attendance. It is imperative that you confirm whether you will be able to attend by Sunday April, 11th, for seating is on a reservation basis. If you have any questions do not hesitate to email or call.

Layout Notes:

· Starting to have articles that straggle in late Wednesday or Thursday, now that we have a layout staff working to meet their deadlines this is not okay; articles must be in Tuesday

· Be sure to have the correct email subject: “Date (3.24), Section of the Paper, Article Title, Author Name”

o It would be best if you also title your word documents this way

· Pay attention to word count; it’s still important!

· If you say you’ll get a picture, get it! If you can’t, that’s okay just say so.

Include word count at bottom

Before you attach to email, edit: sentence and paragraph flow, grammar (especially commas!), check your facts! If you are writing about an event, make sure you include all of the details.

Put a creative title on your piece

Include date of publication (2/17 for this week), article section, article title, and name in the subject line. Put date first!
